Developing a safe space to ask hard questions and cultivating trust across the organization allows us to glean insights that organizational leaders may never have previously heard or considered. The blending of design thinking (creative) and systems thinking (critical) is our work approach. Our participatory processes are strategic and reflective. We utilize visualization, mapping, game-storming, prototyping, case study review, and a myriad of organizational development and quality management techniques during the steps outlined below.
1) Discover“ what is.” A safe space is provided for feedback from all levels of the organization, including board leadership.
2) Define opportunities. A scan of the external environment includes qualitative and qualitative research with information solicited from community and philanthropy partners, subject-matter experts, case studies, and data trends.
3) Design “what could be.” Empowered with learning from the proceeding work, we can envision the organization’s aspirational future, including goals, priorities, and resources.
4) Deliver aligned next steps. Coaching, project management, and change management support are provided to sustain strategic focus.
