ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Bridget Samuel, the founder of VESTEDin™ Consulting Group, LLC, draws inspiration from 20 years of lived experience in social work, nonprofits, and philanthropy. Her unwavering passion for empowering individuals, teams, and organizations to meet aspirational goals resulted in an appearance on the NBC Nightly News, a quote in the New York Times, and being named a Finalist for The Health and Aging Policy Fellows Program.
The Houston native and University of Texas alumna has served in leadership capacities on local, state, and national boards and provided direct day-to-day oversight to administrative, operational, and programmatic staff. She is a "generalist" (context vs. content) with a breadth of perspectives to see the bigger picture, navigate vague or poorly defined situations, and derive new patterns. Her ability to apply contextual knowledge to varied conditions has made her the ideal person to sponsor and manage disruptive change initiatives such as new program design & development, strategic monetary partnerships, technology transformation, divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, and dissolutions.
Her most significant accomplishments include grassroots efforts of leveraging relationships to successfully negotiate millions of dollars in public funding, advocating for policy change, doubling service delivery to disadvantaged populations, and successfully influencing public-private partnerships.
Bridget is a certified organizational development and change management practitioner with certificates for human-centered design, lean six sigma, and True Colors© personality assessments. When she is not working, Bridget enjoys yoga, dancing, painting, long meditative walks, and playing with her rescue dog, "Twinkie."
"Bridget built the organizational effectiveness practice at Episcopal Health Foundation from scratch. Her deep experience in the nonprofit sector and her broad experience in providing consulting support to the sector enabled her to design a practice for our grantees that meets each of their unique needs. We have incorporated her teaching into the fabric of our grantmaking practices. I heartily recommend Bridget to any organization looking to improve their work. She’ll knock it out of the ballpark." Elena Marks, President & CEO, Episcopal Health Foundation
